What Are Telecourses?
An opportunity to take courses from within your own home according
to your own schedule (for example, by tape delay using your VCR
or by using your computer).
Ideal for the independent learner who may not have time to come
to campus on a regular basis.
Lectures are shown on Springfield's Cable Channel 24, Mediacom.
Some courses are also broadcast over OPT (Ozarks Public Television) through PBS.
Available for viewing in Meyer Library, second floor, Audio Visual.
However, checkouts are not available.
CD-ROM lecture sets are for sale at the Missouri State University Bookstore
Video tape sets of lectures are available for rent in limited numbers,
through the Missouri State University Bookstore. Please check for rental availability
prior to enrolling. All rentals are on a first-come, first-serve
basis starting the week before the semester begins.
What is an Interactive CD Course?
Students experience lectures, audio and video streaming, access to the web, and transcripts through this new computer-based system.
