Telecourses & Interactive Telecourses

What Are Telecourses?

bullet An opportunity to take General Education Required courses without visiting campus

bullet Lectures for all telecourses can be downloaded FREE from the MSU web site under iTunes U

bullet Or, students may wish to purchase DVD/CD sets from the Bookstore to view on any computer

bullet Telecourse lectures may be placed on any mp3 player for audio or video exam review

bullet Students only attend campus for the initial class meeting and exams

bullet"Alternate exam" times are often available on Saturday mornings for added convenience

bullet Proctored exams may be scheduled in Lebanon, Joplin, Mountain Grove, Nevada and West Plains

bullet Transcripts are available to students (except for music-based audio courses)

bullet Cost to the student is the same as any traditional course

bullet Many telecourses administer exams electronically

 

What is an Interactive Telecourse?

bullet Interactive Telecourses contain: lectures, audio and video streaming and across to the web

bullet DVDs are available in Meyer Library for easy access while on campus

bullet They may be purchased from the Bookstore and can always be returned at the end of the semester

bullet Fulfill General Education Requirements at the traditional fee amount

bullet Exams are administered both electronically and traditionally
