I welcome you…the adult/nontraditional student…to the many opportunities that await you at Missouri State University. Our University recognizes the many obstacles that you can face while returning to school and the Office of Adult Student Services can help guide you through the process. Trying to balance work, family and school can be daunting and our office provides a one-stop alternative to long lines and confusion to help get you started. The convenience of having your questions and concerns addressed in one location also helps to alleviate some of the anxiety about returning to school.

You have probably asked yourself, “Am I too old?”…Will I be the only nontraditional student in my classes?”… “How will I manage to do it all?” Know that you are not alone…over 50% of students returning to college today are considered nontraditional and you actually bring skills and maturity that can benefit you greatly in the classroom.
