Alpha Sigma Lambda
Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of scholarship and to the recognition of nontraditional students continuing their higher education. The Society was established in 1945-46 to honor superior scholarship and leadership in adult students.
Today, with nearly 275+ institutional chapters throughout the United States, Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society presents institutions with a truly prestigious opportunity to recognize the special achievements of adults who accomplish academic excellence while facing competing interests of family, community, and work.
Qualifications for membership include minimum 3.2 GPA, completing 30 hours or more at Missouri State University (with a minimum of 15 hours outside your major), attending for a minimum of four semesters, and being 25 years or older. Eligibility letters for memberships are mailed in the fourth week of the fall and spring semesters.

Alpha Sigma Lambda Scholarship
The local chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda offers a $250 scholarship
during the fall and spring semesters. Undergraduate and graduate
members of Alpha Sigma Lambda with a minimum 3.2 GPA are eligible.
Scholarship Guidelines
Principles

This scholarship will be awarded to an adult student seeking
higher education.

This scholarship is based on scholarship, leadership, and applicant's
personal statement.

The amount of the award is $250.

A check will be mailed to each of the two recipients.
Eligibility

Must be a member of the Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda
at Missouri State University.

Must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.
