Computer Labs
The West Plains campus provides an Academic Support Lab in the
Garnett Library. Please contact Janice Johnson (417) 255-7940 for
usage information.
Computer User Identification Number
It is necessary to obtain a Computer User Identification Number
if you want to use the computers on the West Plains campus.
The procedures for assigning these numbers are:
1. The distance learning facilitator will be responsible for coordinating
the assignment of the Computer User Identification Number to all
students enrolled in distance learning courses.
2. During the first class session of each semester, the facilitator
will ask students to complete the Student Computer User Identification
Number Request form. Upon successful completion of this form, Computer
Services will activate student passwords that will allow access
to West Plains computers. Students who already have access to the
system will not be required to complete this form.
3. The processing of these cards requires approximately two days,
however it has taken as short as one day and as many as five days.
4. The Computer User Identification Number cards will be distributed
by the facilitator as they arrive.
5. If necessary, students will be assisted implementing the use
of these cards by Academic Support Center personnel in the Garnett
Library.
6. Please report any computer usage problems to the facilitator.
The facilitator will take the necessary action to resolve the problem.
