Students Enrolled in Springfield Programs at the West Plains Campus
Students enrolled in Springfield courses are Springfield students—they pay Springfield student service fees, the courses are recorded on the Springfield transcript and apply to the Springfield degrees (Bachelor and above.) Springfield courses' can usually be distinguished from West Plains' courses by the course number. West Plains' courses are numbered from 000-299 and Springfield courses usually are numbered 300 and above.
All records for Springfield courses are housed at the Springfield campus. The West Plains Registration and Records Office can register students in Springfield courses provided they have the correct forms, signatures and permissions. Springfield courses are processed (registration, change of schedule, etc.) on separate forms from West Plains' courses. A student registering in both West Plains and Springfield courses must use the appropriate form for each campus. Springfield registration forms also are available in the West Plains Registration and Records Office, but required signatures or additional permission forms must be obtained from Springfield advisors in the Academic Outreach/Teacher Education office. As of November 1st, 2004 Missouri State University-Springfield students may register online through “My Information” on the Missouri State University-Springfield website.
Change of Schedule/Withdrawals
Springfield change of schedule forms can be processed at the West Plains campus through the first week of classes during the regular term and the first two days of classes during the summer term. Following those dates, the forms will be sent to the Springfield campus for processing. Springfield withdrawals cannot be processed at the West Plains campus. Withdrawal forms are available in the West Plains Registration and Records Office, but they must be faxed to Springfield for processing.

Academic Transcripts
West Plains courses show up as transfer work on the Springfield transcript and Springfield courses appear as transfer work on the West Plains transcript even if the coursework was completed on the West Plains campus. West Plains' transcripts are not sent automatically to the Springfield campus. Springfield students enrolled in both Springfield and West Plains courses are encouraged to come to the Registration and Records Office to fill out a transcript request form each semester they are enrolled in West Plains' courses, requesting that their West Plains transcripts be sent to Springfield. West Plains cannot send out a Springfield transcript. The students must make their requests in writing and send or fax (417-836-6334) it to the Springfield campus. Students may bring their requests to the West Plains Office of Registration and Records for faxing if they do not have access to a fax machine.
