Students Enrolled in Springfield Programs at the West Plains Campus

Graduation

Graduation requirements and procedural questions should be directed to the students’ Springfield advisors or staff in the Academic Outreach/Teacher Education office at 308 Pennsylvania Avenue on the West Plains Campus. Springfield diploma covers are provided by the Academic Outreach Coordinator.

Springfield graduates who have completed course work on the West Plains campus may participate in Commencement activities in West Plains. Students who wish to participate in Commencement on the West Plains campus should notify the Academic Outreach Coordinator. The Coordinator will prepare a name card for each graduate to be used during the ceremony. The card will be picked up at commencement practice.

Students must have completed Springfield’s Intent to Graduate form (paper copy or via web on My Information). Students should complete this form when they register for the final semester. This form is used to add student names to the Commencement program and the Commencement website, as well as to provide a card for the Commencement ceremony. Students who participate in the Springfield ceremony will get their name cards in the meeting area where the candidates are lined up and get instructions.

Students should check the website to find information on ordering announcements, caps and gowns, divisions of ceremonies, decorum, information for guests, etc. Commencement information generally is available by the fourth week of each semester. The website address is: http://www.missouristate.edu/commencement/.
