Students Enrolled in Springfield Programs at the West Plains Campus

Admission

Students who wish to enroll in Springfield classes must apply and be admitted to Missouri State University-Springfield. Students are encouraged to apply by filling out a paper application, which may be requested from the Academic Outreach Office located on the West Plains Campus. Paper applications should be mailed to Missouri State University, Admissions Office, 901 South National, Springfield, MO 65897.

Students also must initiate a request from the West Plains Campus Registration and Records Office for their Missouri State University-WP transcripts to be sent to Springfield as part of the application process. Transcripts are sent at no charge to the student, and no application fee is required by Missouri State University-Springfield for students who have attended Missouri State University-WP. Students should submit their applications one semester in advance prior to the semester they plan to start taking Missouri State University-Springfield classes to allow time for processing before registration. Minimum processing time for applications is a week to ten days after receipt of all required documents.

Students who do not take Missouri State University-Springfield classes for one full semester (not including Summer Semesters or students who did not start Missouri State University-Springfield classes when planned according to their application) must readmit to the Missouri State University-Springfield campus. Students who wish to readmit must contact the Academic Outreach office on the West Plains campus.

Any student who has not taken a West Plains class (100 and 200 levels) during a semester and needs a West Plains class later, must be readmitted to the West Plains campus. Readmission involves completing a short form in the Admissions Office or the Registration and Records Office.
