Do You Commute?

Record gas prices in 2007 took a toll on many students’ budgets last year. Save money and the environment in 2008 by taking advantage of Missouri State University’s Bear Line and City Utilities public transit systems.

  • The Bear Line Shuttle System has six weekday routes and an evening and Saturday route to get you anywhere you need to go on campus, and is free to all Missouri State University students.
  • The City Utilities Public Transit System has discounted passes available to Missouri State University students for $100 for an unlimited ride/90 day pass. City Utilities Transit Services has many stops near Bear Line Shuttle stops. These discounted passes are available for purchase at the Bursar’s office.
  • If you don’t live near a bus route, the City of Springfield offers a free carpool matching service to help cut costs. Visit their website at http://www.springfieldmo.gov/transportation/carpool.html for more information.
