Test Taking Skills
Taking a test can be, for some, a very stressful experience. Tests are a simple task to determine whether you have comprehended the material presented in class. It is not a trick, or a trap, it is simply a task. Challenge yourself to do well at this task just as you would any other daily task presented to you. Accept the challenge long before it’s time to take the test. Sometimes even the simplest things, or those things that we take for granted can help reduce the level of anxiety before a test. Eating healthy can keep your body from overreacting to stress. Proper sleep habits can help keep your brain at its sharpest. Be prepared for the test by knowing the subject material. Stay positive by keeping things in perspective because these are all important things that you can control.
