For the nontraditional student that has not seen the inside of a classroom for many years, it will be quite an adjustment to learn how to take information in for the sake of education. On a daily basis, we all take in a lot of information, but that information is usually in the nature of our work or for pleasure. When all this information enters our brains throughout the day, we are not thinking about retaining all the details for a test tomorrow.
